Hello everyone! Thanks for taking the time to visit my page! Being a Physiotherapist, I have the wonderful opportunity of working with many individuals who suffer from Parkinson's disease in the course of my work.

Parkinson's disease is a neuro-degenerative disease that affects the mobility and quality of life of sufferers. Up to now, there is no clear cause for developing Parkinson's disease. It generally affects people above the age of 50. It also affects other faculties such as speech and also increases the risk of psychological disorders including depression. In advanced stages of Parkinson's disease, patients might require assistance from a carer to carry out day-to-day activities.

As an experienced road cyclist who used to be a competitive swimmer in my younger days, I have decided that for the year 2018, I will be competing in the Ironman 70.3 in Jeju, South Korea. This would be my first triathlon event, which consists of a 2km swim, followed by a 90km bike ride and a 21.1km half marathon, and will be held on the 8th of July
